About the adventure

The continuing adventures of the heroes of Ebonmore. Our heroes continue to uncover the truth of the ancient war against The Enemy, and seek out weapons, spells, and allies for the coming War for the future of all creation. With the Realmwarden in hand, their next steps remain unsure. The elves are ancient, and secretive, perhaps they could be convinced to share their knowledge from the ancient era. The alternative, The Chained Library of Athena holds countless records of forbidden knowledge. They would never let an outsider inside, but perhaps they can be forced to see reason. And other, even more dangerous paths to knowledge and power remain for our heroes, if they are brave enough to attempt them. (This campaign is a continuation of a campaign I have been running for free, for over a year, that I am for the first time doing professionally, and bringing to Startplaying, as we end one story arc and begin a new one.)

How to prepare

Players will need a microphone. Players will need characters of appropriate level made before the session. I will help with this. Players will need a free Roll20 account. No dice or webcam are required. New players joining the campaign, are encouraged to be at least basically familiar with D&D rules and mechanics, as this campaign is already somewhat high level. I am happy to teach, and patient with new players, but jumping into a mid level campaign as a new player will be difficult.

What I provide

I bring my homebrewed world, custom boss battle with homebrewed mechanics, many digital maps, a Roll20 Premium account, and more than a decade of experience running many systems.

Gameplay details

X-card and N-Card have been incorporated into the Roll20 for this game. Content warning: This game will contain descriptions of violence and gore. Sexual content will only exist "off-screen" and not be described in any significant detail. Additionally, I run a tactical game, and character death is possible either because of tactical mistakes, or simple bad luck.

How will character creation work

The PCs are currently all 8th level. New players, if any, will join at the same level of the lowest level current existing PC. Sessions are short for this campaign, so I will work with players, as needed, to build PCs ahead of scheduled game time.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
