About the adventure
My favorite chapter of the Lord of the Rings. Omitted from the movies for "reasons," I've made this into a d&d one-shot. After destroying the ring, after Aragorn & Arwen's wedding, and after Gandalf leaves them to have a conversation with Bombadil, the Hobbits return home at last to find things have gone horribly wrong. The big-men have taken over, and turned the hobbits against each other. There are signs and rules and ugly shacks put up everywhere. For the four returning heroes, this is too much to take and they immediately fly into action. With all that they learned in the War of the Ring, all they absorbed from their time with Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Eomyr, Theoden, Eowyn, Faramir, and each other, they are more than they appear. They also have amazing equipment....

How to prepare
I wouldn't. Given that you're in charge of how you re-take the Shire, it's definitely going to deviate from the book and this chapter is not in the films so, just enjoy the setting and the righteous justice you will bring to your homeland! All you need is yourself, your computer, and a headset. Webcams: off.

How will character creation work
You've got the 4 hobbits + a couple friends I've added to allow for 2 more player slots. Play as Frodo, Sam, Merry, or Pippen. Or play as one of the few hobbits trained by the Rangers of the North!
