    About the adventure

The months of night are over. The Sun god Amuk-Ta has returned from the underworld with the mantle of the Pharaoh. He has crowned young Jabari, and returned his place in the sky. The return of the Sun is a cause for great celebration, but it is only the beginning. Jabari is young, but he has ambition. His father, Pharaoh Kafele, died with the blessings of sixteen gods. Jabari wishes to live to hold all twenty blessings. Each of you are already mighty servants of a god, bearing a blessing that makes you great beyond the measure of ordinary mortals. You have been called to join the Pharaoh's forces, and to assist him on his quest to gain, by crook or flail, all the Blessings of this world. A game of epic adventure in a unique and unconventional setting, inspired by ancient Egypt.

    Additional Details

    How to prepare

Players will need a mic, but not a webcam. We'll work on characters in a session 0. Reading rules will of course be appreciated, but I will ease new and rusty players into the game even with zero familiarity. All players need to bring is enthusiasm!

    What I provide

I will bring the core rules, the DM Guide, and Xanathar's Guid to Everything, as well as my own setting notes and details. Feel free to run additional books and resources by me.

    Gameplay details

Gameplay is a mix of epic exploration, adventure and action. Players are assisting in a great quest that is both holy and political, dealing with gods and worshipers, facing monsters, and shaping the destiny of the land. Typical session will likely involve a fair amount of roleplaying, planning, and two or three action scenes, at least one of which will likely be a combat. Variety is the spice of choice. Players who invest in the world will likely get the best time out of it. We'll be using the X card as a safety tool, but I'll also ask players up front if there's anything you'd like me to avoid. Content Warning: Violence, Sexual Imagery (mostly in godly iconography), and in-universe bigotry

    How will character creation work

Characters will be created on the first session, and I'm more than happy to help new players. Characters will start at level one, but grow through the first few levels at a fairly rapid rate. Levels are not tied to experience, but to the literal blessing of a god. A players starting class will be reflective of the god that gave them that blessing, and levels will be gained when another god gives you a new blessing. We will not be using the Alignment system.

    Players can expect

    • Combat/Tactics: Medium
    • Roleplay: Medium
    • Puzzles: Low
    • Experience Level: None
