About the adventure

A year ago, a dwarf named Caerhan Coalsmith finds a golden orrery housing buried in the remains of a ruined tower, missing its clockwork components. Rumors tell of how its magic powers would increase if its missing components were placed within it. After a tragic incident, however, Caerhan decides that the relic must be destroyed in a secret shrine beneath the city of Waterdeep. But when he activates the shrine, a minor earthquake opens a sinkhole, cracking walls and sidewalks across the city. Meanwhile, a case of mistaken identity gives you and your party a rare opportunity to make a name for yourselves in Acquisitions Incorporated. You are assigned to investigate one of the sinkhole fissures that opened up after the earthquake.
