The Old Marblehead Lighthouse

About the adventure

The merchant guild of Mistcliff wants to reclaim an old lighthouse north of town now that the pirate threat in the area has been significantly cut down. They are hiring you to explore it, eliminate any threat and report back to them. Sounds easy enough, until you start hearing the rumors about that place. This game is presented as a "learn to play" DnD 5th edition adventure on Start Playing Games. As such it is designed for those looking to learn to play the game who might be curious about Dungeons and Dragons, might have played a little bit before but want to get to the next level or those looking to learn how to play the game online. As such it is designed with everyone in mind. Owlbear Rodeo will be used for our table top which doesn't take any account or setup, DnD beyond will be used to create the character and roll our dice which gives you almost everything on screen about your character and discord will be used for us to communicate. This game will be bully free and inclusive. I will be available before hand to help everyone create characters and walk them through the process of getting setup to join the game.

How to prepare

Be able to have a stable internet connection with discord installed on your device. Use of PC or laptop is preferred but it is possible to play on your mobile device it just might not be ideal.

Gameplay details

This game will be PG-13 with some mild horror aspects. As will be explained, during gameplay, if there are any content issues you can message me privately and in game adjustments will be made without having to make a scene and stop gameplay.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created on DnD beyond. A campaign page link will be provided and I will be available to walk anyone through the creation process and answer any questions.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
