About the adventure

This is a playthrough of the Level 1 adventure "The Old Marblehead Lighthouse" from Kobold Press for 5th edition D&D. The lighthouse on Marblehead Point was built nearly two centuries ago, when the town of Northwatch was just a small trading post. When an increase in piracy forced the town to abandon the lighthouse, merchants started taking longer overland routes to get goods in and out of the city. Meanwhile, the old lighthouse keeper, whose livelihood was worsened by such conditions, made some questionable decisions. A few years later, the old man died, leaving no one to keep the beacon alight. The lighthouse was left to the elements and time. Over the preceding generations the pirate problem was dealt with and now the people of Northwatch seek to rebuild the lighthouse and reestablish the old maritime trade routes. The mayor of Northwatch has hired you to explore the lighthouse, eliminate any threats, and report back. The light has been dark for centuries and rumors abound of what now dwells within the lighthouse - its up to you to seek out the truth! This adventure offers opportunities for exploration, combat and role-playing. Bring in your own level one character or choose one of the pre-gens available. (Sidekicks will also be available to fill out the party if we are short on players.) Great adventure for beginners just taking 5e out for a spin or those more experienced just looking for a quick excursion. Will happily guide you through the rules of the game (and Roll20) if you are new. Lets explore the mystery of the lighthouse together!

Feel free to drop one and we'll quickly move past the scene and continue the adventure. Content Warning: insects, bats, darkness, water, abandoned buildings, veiled suicide, veiled sacrifice.
