The Mysteries of New Thassilon - Rusthenge & Seven Dooms for Sandpoint

About the adventure

The ruins of Rusthenge have stood silent vigil over the what is now known as the Kindred Coast for eons, dating back to the era of the runelords of ancient Thassilon. The town of Iron Harbor was built in Rusthenge's shadow, but now that New Thassilon has risen from the depths of the distant past, the old ruins are coming under unexpected scrutiny. Something sinister is afoot in Rusthenge, and it falls to you, a brand new band of adventurers, to learn the truth of the ancient evil that stirs deep within its long-abandoned halls! Are you brave enough to delve into the mysteries of Rusthenge – and beyond? -- The initial adventure is called Rusthenge and spans the level range from 1-3, after which I plan on continuing with Seven Dooms for Sandpoint, which runs from level 4 until level 11. After that, if players are interested we can continue with one of the 11-20 APs based on player input.

How to prepare

- have a microphone and ideally a webcam on your PC or laptop - have Discord installed and a Discord account - if you have an Android phone, it is recommended to install Pathbuilder 2E

What I provide

There will be a wiki-like campaign website that will grow and be updated over the course of the campaign with locations, NPCs and other relevant details. I am also known to create the occasional meme based on my campaigns. ;)

Gameplay details

Note that the tagged content warnings are mostly about what could happen in the game. Due to it being a fantasy role-playing game where you have to defeat enemies I also expect a lot of violence, death and animal cruelty and animal death. There is a consent checklist to be filled out prior to the game and I will modify the content based on your feedback if necessary.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created during Session 0 before the game starts. The GM is happy to help and guide the players through the character creation. Platform used to create characters is Pathbuilder 2E (open to alternatives). Uncommon character options can be selected after an OK from the GM, theme of the character permitting. Rare character options are generally not permitted or are reserved as rewards. Background options from the adventure are strongly preferred and can be customized. Characters receive their Free Archetype of choice at level 1 which needs to be a multiclass archetype. Additional character rules are Ancestry Paragon and gradual ability boosts.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
