The Murmuring Fountain (Pathfinder 2 Fantasy Horror one-shot, beginner friendly)

About the adventure

A missing pet, a ghostly girl, and a madman in the woods - these are the elements bound together by a dark thread in Legendary Games' The Murmuring Fountain. A module designed for first-level adventurers, this is a game intended as a casual introduction to Pathfinder Second Edition for those who are interested in the rules, but may not have much experience with the system - or any system, for that matter! The module is a short one, capable of being played in about an hour if the players rip through the whole storyline, which will allow for ample time to figure out the rules, get into character, and delve a little deeper into the macabre.

How to prepare

Players will need to have a headset with mic, and an account on both Discord (where voice-chat will be conducted) and on Roll20 (where gameplay will happen). A pre-built character of your own is welcome, but not necessary - there will be pre-made characters, as well as time for players to go through and build basic 1st level characters of their own.

What I provide

I will have a pre-built Roll20 environment, and pre-made characters available for those who aren't quite ready for jumping in feet-first. I have all of the rulebooks outside of the Lost Omens line, and will cheerfully look up material for those who want to do something a little different.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a friendly, story-focused introduction to the Pathfinder 2 system and mechanics. More experienced players will be expected to try to help less experienced ones who may not be familiar with all the interactions of the system. The primary goal, of course, is to have some spooky fun heading into the spooky season.

How will character creation work

Character creation will primarily be handled through the use of pre-made 1st level characters, and assisted character creation at the session. The adventure should be short enough to allow for everybody to create characters and still have plenty of time to play.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
