About the adventure

Delving into the Underdark is no small feat, but The Mercenary Guild has established an outpost to spy on the denizens of darkness and undermine their attempts to retake the surface of Tierra. Played in the theater of the mind, gameplay will have a quick pace and a cinematic feel with vivid descriptions of the world and how it responds to your every action ... and antic. Get your mission, get your gear, and get to work!

How to prepare

Please have a headset (earbuds with mic or separate mic/headphones combo) ready to minimize ambient noise. Games can get boisterous (we have a good time), and we don't want to disturb the neighbors, or experience feedback. Games are run through Google Meet, so any browser should be able to run the game, and if you want to appear on screen you should have your webcam set up ahead of time.

What I provide

DnDBeyond has integrated dice rollers in case you don't have your own, but you can roll real dice if you got em. You bring the characters. I'll bring the rest of the world.

Gameplay details

There will, of course, be aspects of fantasy violence, but there may also be vivid descriptions of gore, and character driven aspects thereof which may include acts of torture or tactics of persuasion to force NPC's to give up information. Given that this is a VERY player/character driven format one could not fully assume what comes next, so participants should be mindful that in a very spy/underground/gritty environment that themes of overt violence will be prevalent. There's no telling how seduction may also play into the game, but this isn't a place for vivid descriptions of intimacy consensual or otherwise.

How will character creation work

Go to https://ddb.ac/campaigns/join/16711483805701139 to create a level 9 character and get ready for anything! ALSO ... Choose two *feats* AND *four* points of ability score improvement TOTAL (not to exceed 20)! You should also equip two *uncommon* magical items and give yourself 800 gold to put towards additional gear/ammo/etc. There won't be a lot of time for shopping, Characters should be made well in advance of game time. On the Character Builder "home" page please select all available source material (besides Rick & Morty ... I know ... I'm so mean) make your Hit Point Type "Manual" and confirm, then make your rolled HP the max you could have rolled on the class page under "Manage HP" on the leftmost box.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
