The Lost Mine of Phandelver (BEGINNERS WELCOME)

About the adventure

An old friend Gundren has assembled a team of adventurers to deliver a wagon full of goods to Phandelin. He has offered to pay you each 10gp to protect the cargo. What lies ahead for the adventurers as they deliver the wagon, will it be peaceful and an easy 10gp, or will the trip be filled with chaos. This adventure runs players from level 1-5 and I expect that is will last somewhere between 5 and 15 sessions (short campaign). The reason it is so broad of a range is it depends on how much players want to roleplay, which I encourage. There is more to the adventure than mentioned above but this is a good start. The setting is fantasy that primarily takes place in a frontier town that has its own lore and problems. I like a good balance of roleplaying and combat around 60/40 but can change for player preference if a whole group wants to go a certain direction with it. This adventure is a great adventure for new players and veterans alike, I will be accessible through discord daily from 4-8 pm EST and love helping new players learn the game and cut loose and role-play more.

How to prepare

You will need a computer and stable internet connection to use roll20 for maps. Players will also need to have good microphone. Webcam use is optional and can be discussed as a party.

Gameplay details

Players will have an opportunity to let me know of anything they are not comfortable with happening in the game prior to the game starting, so that those topics can be avoided if possible. Players can also message me or put an X in chat at any time if they are uncomfortable with what is happening during the session.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done through dndbeyond starting at lvl 1. If you are a beginner and need help we can jump in the discord voice channel and I will walk you through the creation process. If will happen before session 1 and we will be using the point buy system. Players may also choose one common magical item to be approved by myself to start with.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
