About the adventure

🔥 The town requires heroic assistance! Delve into the basement of the fishery and put a stop to whatever beasts are eating the town's fish! But before you do, a curious fortune teller gives you an equally curious task: "While you are down there darlings, could you kindly find a room of 'elemental influence' and bring something back? Thank you, darlings." 🏛️ Not long after, a spark of life in the abandoned lighthouse calls for investigation. If what might be true, a dark shadow has been cast over the town. How will you put a stop to the evil that dwells beneath the ruins? ⚔️ This is an expansive dungeon crawling adventure, filled with dangerous factions and horrors vying for control. Will you hack and slash? Deceive and parlay? Dabble in both? 🎲 Want to experience tactical combats where positioning and environmental awareness is key to victory? Play through the highly regarded Beginner Box adventure and Abomination Vault campaign for either a great way to learn Pathfinder2e or to experience a well designed mega-dungeon adventure. This campaign will span Levels 1 to 10.

How to prepare

• Discord account to talk and text. • Free Forge account to play from a web browser: https://forge-vtt.com/ • Clear microphone with either a quiet background or at least push-to-talk. • Encouraged to use a Webcam but it isn't needed. If you do, follow standard video call etiquette. • After joining the game, view the Prep Materials and follow any other instructions. • After joining my discord server, read and click on the 📕 to agree to my community code of conduct otherwise you cannot join the game.

Gameplay details

🕹️｜GAMEPLAY STYLE ・A town that will act as the home-base for characters to rest when returning from the mega-dungeon. It acts as a hub for purchases, repairs, downtime, and levelling up. Also as a place for social interaction with the NPCs that can aid, give quests, or provide complications. ・The mega-dungeon is the focus of the game and characters should be created that want to follow this adventure, not detract from it. ・While there will be plenty of chances of hack-and-slash combat, the Vaults will also provide opportunity to negotiate, lie, and collaborate to overcome situations without bloodshed. ・Character death is more likely to occur in this adventure, so it might be best to consider a backup character concept. 🛡️｜SAFETY TOOLS ・During Session 0 we will discuss Lines and Veils and have an ongoing document for that. ・I employ the safety tool 'Script Change ⏯️' by Beau Jágr Sheldon (http://briebeau.com/scriptchange), which replaces X, N, O Cards. ・A 10 minute break will occur roughly halfway through the session. ・Further details of all tool implementations are provided within the discord server. How will character creation work

• We'll have a Session 0 to discuss creating a cohesive group of characters, making any necessary connections that occurred before the adventure started. • To tie your character to the setting and scenario, I encourage you to look at the official Player Guide for this adventure: https://downloads.paizo.com/AbominationVaults_PlayersGuide.pdf • The first scenario of this adventure is the introductory adventure, Menace Under Otari, from the acclaimed Beginner Box. • We will use FoundryVTT to create our characters. For those who want to experiment can use https://pathbuilder2e.com/ • Anyone that joins later or needs a new character, will choose or create a character at the party's current level. Before the next game session, I will have a private discussion with you that substitutes the Session 0 you missed. If you join just before the next session and I don't have enough time to talk to you, you'll skip and join the session after. Character Creation: • Characters start at Level 1. • All classes allowed. • Ask about any Uncommon or Rare selections for Ancestries/Heritages/Backgrounds/Items/Spells.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
