About the adventure

In the heart of Arbara, in the dense, coniferous forests nestled at the crook of trade roads there lies the small town of Endsmeet. It's a quiet village, well known for the beautiful softwoods they export from the nearby forests, and the exotic pelts they harvest from the various fauna in the surrounding area. A traveler would assume this was all there is, here. Nestled cozily within the firs and pines, Endsmeet looks harmless. This adventure begins near the village, looking into the Cedarkind hunting lodge. The lodge is welcoming, well-decorated with handcarved furniture and warm red ale. A favorite vacation spot for any who know of it - and most who know of it don't spread the word. All stories begin with trouble, however, and this one is no different. The Cedarkind Lodge is safe territory - in a realm full of danger. The massive Goldwood forest is teeming with danger, not the least of which being the discreet war being waged between the Moon clan lycanthropes and the Thymes family vampires. No battles shall happen within the lodge, but outside, things are different. You are Hunters. You work specifically out of the Cedarkind lodge - and you've just started. It's a dangerous forest, it's cold, and your bounties are the only thing keeping your bellies full, if you make it back. Good luck.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need a Dndbeyond account, Discord, and a microphone. You can access Dndbeyond from your phone while playing if your computer is unable to have a browser window open for Foundry VTT. If you would like a portrait or token specific for your character you should supply one.

What I provide

I am providing the literature on Dndbeyond through the campaign link for all of my players to build whatever they like. I am also providing the Foundry VTT software for the game to be run, where all of the rolls will be handled and the character sheets will be available to all. I have a webcam and microphone, both of which I will use on Discord to help convey what is happening for my players. If a player does not provide a token or portrait for a character, I will provide a generic one.

Gameplay details

Players can expect puzzles, mysteries, fairly complex combat and plenty of roleplay.

How will character creation work

You can expect your characters to be level 1! We're starting from the beginning. We will roll for stats and discuss character origins/classes at our Session 0. Characters will be built on DNDBeyond using my campaign link, and then imported into Foundry VTT. I will discuss with each player what their character is, their backstory, and any ideas the players want for their characters. I expect players to have an idea what sort of character they want, and that they will be fleshed out and ready to play by the campaign's beginning. In particular, the story will be built around PC backstories, so give them some significant thought.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Medium
  • Experience Level: Open to all
