About the adventure

The elves of the White Woods have rallied behind legendary hero Valeria Dolthar in the latest iteration of their existential and eternal conflict with the orcs of the Amber Ocean, but she brings a lot of new-fangled ideas and new allies to a very old conflict. Will her coalition survive total war with the orcs? What to expect: a war-time snapshot about adventurers or mercenaries and the friends and enemies they meet along the way. Politics, secrets, and an ocean of orcs to swing at. There is a mystery afoot and only you can solve it. Heaps of roleplay and lore punctuated by breathtaking violence.

Additional Details

How to prepare

A mic is needed; a webcam is encouraged but optional. Reading the rules ahead of time is encouraged but optional. I will guide character creation for inexperienced players, I've been helping build sheets for years. Discord is required. You should have dice or a free dice roller. There are countless free versions of the 3.5 character sheet, players are encouraged to seek out one that appeals to them or create their own, most important factor is that it's readable to you.

Gameplay details

Session 0 will be when characters are made and we discuss boundaries and lay out safety ground rules. This is a story about war and the toll it has on the people fighting it, but a lot of your time is spent in camp, relaxing with fellow soldiers, waiting for your next mission. The players have a high degree of control over what order to take missions in and those missions are challenging combat experiences.

How will character creation work

We will do character creation together, allowing players to build shared backstories if they so desire. I will bring my expertise and books, so all you'll need is a working internet connection. Character sheets can be done any way that makes sense to you then uploaded to a shared folder so people can cover for you if you miss a session. Lots of resources available for character creation, we'll deal with it in session 0.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
