The Keep of Shadows
Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Dungeons & Dragons 3/3.5e on Discord, Roll20
About the adventure
Whatever your reasons, whatever your purpose, you have been drawn to the mysterious and long-abandoned keep of the ancient wizard Gorwyn. Perhaps you seek the riches rumored to be inside. Perhaps you seek the arcane secrets the mighty wizard discovered. Perhaps... you simply want to see what it's like on the inside. Regardless of your reasons, your path leads inside its dusty walls. An old school dungeon crawl for players of all experience levels and ages. Will you find the secrets and treasures within, or perish like so many have inside the keep?
How to prepare
A microphone will be necessary, as will a Discord account. I prefer to use Discord for audio, while rolling will be handled on Roll20 for fairness' sake. This way, all rolls are on the table. A webcam or personal dice are not necessary.
What I provide
I will create maps for the sessions through Roll20, which we will be able to use throughout the sessions.
I intend to go for 3.5 or 5e based on player preference; I can work with either. This adventure will at least start as an old school dungeon crawl delving into the depths of an ancient and magical keep, where monsters, puzzles, treasure, and secrets await. And the campaign could end at the end of the dungeon, or explore the party's adventures afterwards, depending on what the players want. My DMing style has been described by my players as harsh, but fair. Creativity and out of the box thinking is often rewarded, but foolish or nonsensical decisions... less so. This will be a low level group, at least to start with, but if players are willing to stick with me I could see myself taking this all the way to high levels.

How will character creation work
I will help players make characters beforehand if they need it, or otherwise let them roll up sheets during the first session. Characters will be starting at level 1, and experience will be milestone based, with all party members levelling up together when the group as a whole have earned it.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Medium
- Roleplay: Medium
- Puzzles: High
- Experience Level: Open to all
