    About the adventure

This will be set in my homebrew world of Illyria, much of which has been unexplored. Generally a high fantasy setting, 5e rules, although there are some darker elements at times! Players who write extensive backstories to fit into the world too are always welcome at my table I am an RP heavy GM, although I do enjoy combat, it is usually a 70:30 ratio of RP:Combat. I also tolerate no sort of discrimination or offensive behaviour at my table. Content wise, and quest wise, you will be employed by a local merchant's guild to clear out their cellars, who knows what lurks in their cellars, old trade supplies, a rat or two...or maybe something more sinister.

    How to prepare

I have quite an extensive pdf of my world building. HOWEVER, you are not required to read through it all, merely each description of terrain to get a feel of the world. You could have this done in half an hour. Roll 20 for video calls and Discord accounts for voice calls are also required. This will be in combination of discords better audio quality and Roll20s battle maps and video cams being much better. Again, if help is needed for this I am more than happy to help set you up and guide you through. Therefore, a good webcam and microphone are essential for this.

    What I provide

I will bring my love for creating battle maps, awful accents, and a love for all things dnd and creative!

    Gameplay details

Usually I am a RP heavy DM, so if you're a number crunchy player, this perhaps is not the game for you. I enjoy descriptive gameplay, as like to sit back and allow the character to RP within themselves, in order for character development to happen. Roleplay is how a narrative is formed and this is what I like to create co-operatively with my players! The best stories are made when people really get into character and explore their flaws, morals and perhaps challenging them, just by being thrown together in a group. When combat does happen, I like it to have meaning to the story the party are telling! For example, you are ambushed by a group of bandits on the road...but not just for any old random encounter reason. One of your party members has a bounty on their head, their thieves guild history and association now with a rival gang, means they are WANTED. Dead or Alive. I also very much enjoy puzzles and riddles, so if that's your jam I am more than happy to oblige. I am also more than happy to help new players figure out the game mechanics and have a session 0 of character creation.

      How will character creation work

Characters will start at lvl 1 with quick progression to the next level. Rolling stats using avrae on discord. We will create characters together in a Session 0, with time then to create backstories in your own time. The session 0 is a time to either be taught how to generate stats, and create your first character. Or if you're a more seasoned player, get the intricacies of how your character fits into the world.

      Players can expect

      • Combat/Tactics: Low
      • Roleplay: High
      • Puzzles: Medium
