About the adventure

Welcome to Paryllaxx. In a distant corner of the multiverse, there exists a world the size of a brown dwarf star. The geographical effects of its accelerated planetary rotation have caused the landmasses to twist into what appears from the heavens as a large, unending spiral. This, in turn, has caused the oceans to follow suit and is the reason the entire oceanic flow has been named the Spyral Sea by those who travel it. You can't remember how you ended up in the woods after dark on the longest night of the year. As you trudge through the snow, you struggle to get your bearings in this endless forest. You want nothing more than a way out, and then you see it: a light off in the distance. Your pace quickens towards the light, and you find yourself at the doorstep of an inn. You knock on the door, and it is immediately answered by an older gentlemen who bids you welcome, ushers you in and closes the door behind you. The heat of the fireplace immediately takes the cold out of your bones, and the innkeeper offers you a seat at a large table where--as you sit for what feels like the first time in years--he places a warm cup of mulled wine in front of you. As you drink, there is another knock at the door. The innkeeper welcomes in another adventurer much like yourself. Although you have never seen this person before, they are familiar to you nonetheless--just as familiar as you are to them. Others arrive shortly after, one at a time, until the table is full. As you all warm to the comfort of the inn, you begin to remember things. As each of you tells your story, you begin to realize more and more how you all know each other...and the realization of how you all ended up lost in the woods on the coldest night of the year brings a different kind of chill to your bones. You're going to need more mulled wine.... *** Loosely inspired by the podcast "12 Ghosts," this fantasy campaign takes a group of adventurers on a roller coaster ride through time to right something that once went wrong, and proves that--on the longest night of the year--second chances are possible.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players should make sure they at least have a working mic, as well as access to Discord and D&D Beyond. Players can choose to use their own dice or use the virtual ones offered.

What I provide

Apart from using Discord and Roll20, I also have access to almost all sourcebooks, as well as a D&D Beyond subscription should players prefer to use that for access to a character sheet and dice. Once characters have been rolled, players may either submit a portrait of their character to me for token creation, or I will create one via Hero Forge based on the description I have regarding the characters.

Gameplay details

I maintain a Discord server for all game-related information and announcements, as well as audio. Though I will be using Roll20 for maps and battles and such, you are not required to use the character sheets or dice offered there. Lines and veils will be discussed upon request.
