How to prepare

- You will need a working webcam and microphone - Please test it prior to the meeting to ensure we can get started on time and with a minimum of delay. - Free Roll20 Account for dice rolling, character sheets, music and photos. - Free Discord Account for Audio and Video. I prefer that folks use video so I can see your room, be nosy, and also just allow folks to connect to each other better, but if you absolutely don't want to be on camera, no big deal.

Gameplay details

- I tend to focus on role play, and not on the dice. - If you are a rules lawyer or tend to be a stickler for rules, dice, and "it should be done this way" please don't bother. - This is a Call of Cthulhu game; you should expect terrible things to happen. - If you have any hard issues, please contact me privately before the game. - We will also discuss briefly prior to starting play, with a 5-10 minute Session 0. - I tend to keep sessions short, 3-4 hours, as that seems to be the maximum that folks can handle with quality. - We will take occasional breaks for stretching, refreshments, and such.

How will character creation work

I will provide pre-generated police detectives to start with, we can bring them to life with more details prior to the game by working together prior to the session. I tend to think of this as L.A. Confidential meets H.P. Lovecraft!
