The Furnace of Virtues ~ A Level 5 Fight for Survival aboard a Prison Ship

About the adventure

Captured by pirates, your ship's captain slain before you, your belongings stolen, you and your crewmates pressed into service... Suffice to say, your sea journey has not gone as planned. The Furnace of Virtues is not an ordinary pirate ship, and Captain Turnscrews is not an ordinary pirate. Her terrifying prison hulk is like a hellish floating mountain, its figurehead bearing the face of a demon. Turnscrews is attended at all times by her army of constructed guards, who follow her orders without question. And yet, the Captain espouses high-minded ideals about virtue, courage, and the meaning of citizenship. This place, she insists, is a school, not a prison. For the deserving, she promises freedom and a new life in a distant Haven. For the undeserving, she promises a fate worse than death. First, come the tests. Let's see what you are made of. ~~~ We will use Roll20, (for its VTT) D&DBeyond (for its character sheets/content sharing) and Discord (for voice chatting.) How to prepare

Players will need to create characters ahead of time. Players will need Roll20, D&DBeyond and Discord accounts. A microphone is needed for Discord chat. Webcam preferred but not needed.

What I provide

I will bring the weight of my D&DBeyond and Roll20 accounts. You will have access to expanded character creation options. The game will include battlemaps, ambient music and dynamic lighting for an immersive, tactical experience.

How will character creation work

Characters will be level 5. Characters are to be created before the session. We will be using Point Buy or Standard Array for ability scores. All race options in the Player's Handbook, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, Volo's Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse are allowed. All OFFICIAL classes and subclasses are allowed (including artificer.) NO EQUIPMENT Multiclassing/Feats are allowed.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
