You made friends and he saw potential in you as a group of adventurers and you struck up a correspondance. He has sent you each a letter. In it he asks you to meet him in a tavern in Neverwinter called "The Bawdy Boar" in three days time. When you arrive, Gundren is glad all of you could make it as he has an exciting offer for you. An offer which might make you rich beyond your wildest dreams. ~~~~ As a group we will create characters together, using DnDBeyond.com in a Session Zero. I will work with you each to build your characters together. Then, on game day in Session 1, you'll take your first steps, introducing your new characters to each other! My version of the Forgotten Realms is different than most and more than a little homebrewed. For one thing, it is set a little further in the future than the current official D&D timeline. Airships fly the skies. There are pirate level firearms, and I offer the optional rules for playing a gunslinger. All official D&D races and classes are welcome (excepting the new Spelljammer races as they are alien in origin and don't fit the fantasy setting*). I like to build a campaign around your characters. The only thing to keep in mind is you are fledgling level 1 adventurers. You have only recently taken steps away from a simple life on the path to adventure. Your characters should have a reason to adventure in their backstory and an interest in doing so with a group of like-minded heroes. To help build that synergy we will brainstorm these things together in our session zero to get things rolling.

How to prepare

Players should have: Microphone An account on Roll20.net (free) An account on DnDBeyond.com (free) Either Chrome or Firefox browser (free) Installation of the Beyond20 Extension (free)(search Google for "beyond20 extension") A gmail email address (for Google Meetup which we use as backup if Discord misbehaves) (free) Dice will be used digitally through DnDBeyond so no dice are required. (free) No need for character sheet printouts or anything like that as I will walk you through character creation.

What I provide

I will provide DnD Beyond access to all available races and magic items so that character creation options are wide open. I am a member of several great Patreons and I am a digital artist myself so I have some amazing maps and character tokens and can create custom tokens for you for our first session, following character creation in Session Zero.

Gameplay details

I run a game where I encourage roleplay and reward attempts to get into your character in roleplay. I will teach you how to take those first steps as a roleplayer (if you're new) and how to find your character's motivations. I also love a good, descriptive fight scene and will help make combats more exciting and narrative using my own homebrew tools and techniques. I may introduce an occasional puzzle as they are part of the Lost Mine of Phandelver module. This particular session is intended for new players who want to learn D&D 5th Edition AND for exprienced players longing to begin something new. I may be including one of my more experienced players in your session who are talented at helping new players open up and feel welcome to create stories together. I will also be providing OPTIONAL pre-generated character sheets for our first session if you are new and feel more comfortable trying out the different classes in the game (fighter, wizard, cleric, druid) without having to stress about making tough character creation decisions for your first session. My goal is to make this an easy first experience for you newcomers and experienced players alike.

How will character creation work

We will be conducting a Session Zero individually where I will walk you through Character Creation and/or guide you through your character sheet on DnDBeyond. Everything you need for character creation will be handled during Session Zero which we will schedule to do over Discord after you sign up for the campaign.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
