About the adventure

An introduction to Apocalypse Keys, a relatively new game from Evil Hat Games (a variation of Powered by the Apocalypse). "A game of monsters bound by fate, love, and power. Explore emotional connections, complicated relationships, unpredictable mysteries, larger than life apocalyptical threats, and the brightest hope in the darkest despair." Inspired by stories like Hellboy and Men in Black, players take on the role of "Omen-class" monsters (or just Omens) who have joined the DIVISION to try to prevent the Apocalypse. You must fight harbingers while simultaneously struggling against your own monstrous nature to prevent yourself from BECOMING a harbinger. Only your bonds with your fellow Omens can help you remember yourself and your distant connection with humanity. Apocalypse Keys emphasizes safe storytelling with larger-than-life characters that form a found family. Beginner and LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️‍🌈

How to prepare

Microphone is required. A webcam is encouraged but not absolutely necessary. It will go quicker if you already have roll20 and discord accounts--both of which are free. What I provide

I bring the experience of someone who's been playing TTRPGs for over 25 years, and running games for most of that combined with the knowledge and experience of a psychologist to make a game that's--hopefully--engaging, entertaining, immersive, and welcoming for all kinds of players. I'll be using roll20 for maps and gameplay. And I'll be using Discord or Google Meets (depending on what the party prefers) for voice/video options and any handouts.

How will character creation work

We'll create characters together during our initial session or there are a number of premade characters you can choose. You can come with an idea of what kind of character you'd like to play, but we can also make it up as we go. You can find more on the official page (https://evilhat.com/product/apocalypse-keys) just scroll all the way to "downloads" at the bottom for free resources.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
