About the adventure

I'm going to be playing through the recent WotC release "Journeys through the Radiant Citadel" as a series of 1-shots - but you're welcome to join for more than one! In each session, the party is transported somewhere else in the world and - as so often happens in D&D - adventure quickly fins them. The themes of the adventures tend to be pretty variable - some are pretty lighthearted, others are a bit darker/horror, so I'll make sure to put content warnings for each particular session, as well a few general ones below. Feel free to drop me any questions if you're not sure whether it's for you :D

How to prepare

You will need a microphone to join the Discord voice chat. I will join with a camera, and I encourage you to as well if you are comfortable doing so, but it's not essential. You can have a character made in advance, or I can guide you through that process before we begin. As part of creating a character, please choose an image that we can use as a token on the battlemap. Rolling will be done in the DnDBeyond campaign, so no printout or physical dice are needed. Maps and handouts will be shared on OwlbearRodeo and through Discord, respectively, so not software install is required

What I provide

I will share digital images of handouts over discord, and battlemaps on Owlbear Rodeo.

Gameplay details

Each adventure will involve at least some combat, but I try not to make it the main focus of the game - it's more about telling stories in exciting locations than fighting orcs in identical dungeon rooms ;-)

How will character creation work

Characters need to be ready to go on DnD Beyond by the listed start time, but I'll be available about half an hour beforehand to help players with any problems. Appropriate level will depend on the session, but starting at level 1

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
