About the adventure

Murder, mystery and mischief! As your party arrives in the town of Etran's Folly--locally known as Plaguestone--a murder shocks the town and puts the party at the center of the investigation! Explore the town of Etran's Folly, discover the secrets lying within the town's history and battle against those who would see the town fall. Will you be able to stop The Fall of Plaguestone? The Fall of Plaguestone is a pre-written adventure that will take characters from 1st level to 4th level. It is a perfect starting point for players new to Pathfinder 2nd edition or those who are looking for a little mystery with their combat. For this adventure, I will be running through Core Rulebook only with no variants. The main themes of this adventure are mystery, disease, dungeon delving and some wilderness travel. We will be creating characters together during Session 0 as well as discussing safety tools (lines and veils, X card, etc.). If you are looking for a fun entrance into the Pathfinder 2E system or just a perilous adventure through an exciting world, join us in Plaguestone. You may be Etran's Folly's last hope!

Additional Details

How to prepare

All players will need a stable internet connection, a working microphone (preferably a headset to prevent outside noise), and a browser that can handle running Foundry VTT (preferably a Chrome-based browser). No software will be needed as the game will be entirely online. Dice rolls will happen within Foundry. Having a webcam is not required, but I have found that being able to see people can help with players talking over one another. This will also be discussed during Session Zero.

What I provide

All handouts and information will be handled in Foundry VTT. If players have any art for their characters that they would like to use, I can make custom tokens to be used on the virtual tabletop in Foundry.

Gameplay details

During Session 0, we will be discussing content of the game as well as what level of violence is appropriate for the group. Lines and veils will be drawn for each player (privately, if necessary) and I will confirm what we discuss before the first session begins. Players will also have access to the X card digitally should anything come up that causes issues in the moment. I will always be available to mold the content of this adventure to make sure the players are having a great time.

How will character creation work

All players will gather together for a Session Zero to discuss what characters people want to play in this adventure. If anyone has any questions about the kinds of characters that can be played, feel free to ask, however, no characters will be chosen until everyone has a say "at the table" about what kind of character they want. Characters will begin at level one with some adventure-specific options for backgrounds, should people be interested. There are no limits on characters creation beyond Core Rulebook only, which has many options to choose from.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
