The Dream Delvers: Beyond the Pitchfork (Hero Training for Absolute Beginners)

About the adventure

Over the last few months, you've been struck by a sense of wanderlust and adventure. You are soon approached by a mysterious pale-skinned elderly gentleman in a dark cloak who claims to represent The Dream Delvers, one of the most exclusive secret adventuring societies in the game. He tells you that it was foretold that he would someday seek you out. He has now found you and wants you to become his student. What do you do? --- Are you new to Dungeons & Dragons? If you're been watching Stranger Things on Netflix as I have, then maybe you've thought about what it would take to kill a Demogorgon. Personally, I've never battled one as a player, nor have I conjured one for my players to face. But unless I'm plunging into the depths of the Abyss with a small army of epic-level companions, I try to avoid them. Most Dungeon Masters start you out at level one and let you figure things out yourself. But if you're new to D&D, then in my game, you will be starting at level zero. Level zero is where you will obtain your wanderlust and drive for adventure. Level zero is where you will learn your class skills for the first time. And we will roleplay you through your entire character development so that you learn everything you need to know in order to play effectively, as you play and adventure. No prior knowledge of the game is required. I specialize in helping players with zero knowledge of the game. Character creation is one of this game's most critical aspects. It's often an aspect that many DMs gloss over. Beginning entirely in the theater of the mind, I'll make sure that you take a central role in a story about you and your future adventuring companions. It will be my job to help guide you in character development. So you want to be a hero? You've already attracted the attention of The Dream Delvers in the game. Additional Details

How to prepare

Players should have access to a webcam and mic (preferably a headset) before playing. Relatively quiet surroundings are required. Once you have joined the game, you will be given links to join our D&D Beyond campaign and Discord server. A free D&D Beyond account and free Discord account is all you will need to start.

What I provide

While you are a member of one of my campaigns, you will have access to every commercially released book and resource available on D&D Beyond (a nearly 900 dollar value), free of charge.

If you have any themes that make you uncomfortable to the extent that it depletes you of the game's fun, please inform me before the start of the campaign on Discord so that I may accommodate you accordingly.

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen during the game. You will not need to prepare a character.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
