The Dream Delvers: Hunt the Wumpus

About the adventure

While at a tavern, you learn that the town’s winter festival includes a Wumpus hunt in a nearby cave. While nobody has ever survived the hunt, the Wumpus has never attacked during the years in which it has already fed on willing hunters. If there are no volunteers, volunteers are drafted by a town-sanctioned lottery. Those drafted by lottery this year seem very ill-equipped to survive. What do you do?

How to prepare

Players should have access to a webcam and mic (preferably a headset) before playing. Relatively quiet surroundings are required. Once you have joined the game, you will be given links to join our D&D Beyond campaign and Discord server. A free D&D Beyond account and free Discord account are all you will need to start. Again, for experienced players, character creation on D&D Beyond will be expected to happen before the game begins. No other preparation is needed.

What I provide

While you are a member of one of my campaigns, you will have access to every commercially released book and resource available on D&D Beyond (a nearly 900 dollar value), free of charge.

Gameplay details

If you have any themes that make you uncomfortable to the extent that it depletes you of the game's fun, please inform me before the start of the campaign on Discord so that I may accommodate you accordingly.

How will character creation work

Experienced players will be expected to have a level-one character already created using point-buy or standard array. Magic users will only be allowed to know no more than cantrips and one 1st level spell per each of their spell slots at 1st level. Again, character creation for experienced players will be expected to happen before the game begins. If you already have a character that started at level 0 or level 1 in any of my games, you are welcome to import the character into this game. Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
