About the adventure

A quiet shrill voice reads the passage aloud "We all know the last Human city took to the skies 3 decades ago when the war between the Dragon races and the Titan races began. The city of Sylvaire suffers under the Tyrannical Rule of three Noble guild-houses: The disgustingly wealthy and extravagant Vorunica House maintains a stranglehold on Sylvaire's trade with their fleet of trained Gryphons and Airships; The Flamebrand, who pretend to be an elite Mercenary guild, are some of the most ruthless thieves and assassins to ever practice the arts of stealth; And the mysterious Clan Grygos with their stranglehold over any use of magic within the city of Sylvaire yet also provides the mystical power needed to keep the city flying above the dreadful horrors of the Dragon/Titan war that rages below on the surface." "My brother wrote this book and was sentenced to death for speaking out against the noble houses 2 weeks ago." The small gnome glances down in defeat and sniffs before she wipes her eye. Vala's small dirty gnomish hands close the book solemnly and raises her glance wearily to her companions. "I'm not allowed to even have a copy of this book!" She exclaims under her breath to her companions huddled around a makeshift fire to which she was now adding the pages of the book she had just read from. Hortus, a large half-orc glances to the gnome with concern. "Yeah Vala, We've all lost loved ones. But what can we do?" The large half-orc's dingy holy symbol was barely recognizable in the light of the dim fire. He turned to one side to cough gently as the musty smoke from the old book's pages urged the small fire to flash vibrantly before dying down to a sad little flame once again. Vala dismissed Hortus' interjection as she feeds more of the pages of the book into the dwindling fire. "I've been working on gliders, Hortus" She said to him so quietly, Hortus could scarcely hear the words. A half slumbering dwarf, clutching a book of rusted steel pages containing the 'official' copies of the only spells he was allowed by the Grygos Laws, stirs awake suddenly, "I've completed my research on feather-fall. It's been a rough year trying to deconstruct it from watching the Grygos goons enchant rings but I finally nailed it down yesterday. So when your invention fails Vala, I can at least save one of us." He chuckles and takes a quick jig from his flask of licorice Schnapps. His face screws up into a puckered wrinkle for a brief moment. "Gah! This stuff is awful!" The dwarf shudders a bit then takes another sip for good measure before tucking his flask back into his moth-eaten off green vest that might have once been a bit more fancy but now only barely serves to cover his back and hold his liquor.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need a record of their character, a reasonable grasp of how to play the game and dice. I will be broadcasting the game from my camera to google meets or other agreed upon chat capable of live feeds.

What I provide

I will be providing dice, markers, battle mats, tokens, various maps, Reference books and a my skills as a DM who is eager to share his lifelong passion with you.

Gameplay details

I love to see the characters interact with the world. From Crunchy combat scenes to Intertwining plotlines and drama. I do a number of voices for a mix of characters who will probably be pre-seeded into many stories as we explore. Some light puzzles can be expected. We will see many opportunities for intrigue and creative solutions while other times may simply need the characters to stand up and fight.
