About the adventure

After a long day on the road seeking your next adventure, you arrive in a small town and seek out the local inn: the Recalcitrant Raven. The local minstrel sings songs of ancient knights as you and the various townsfolk enjoy greasy food and sudsy brews. Suddenly, the doors burst open and a burly man in a leather apron enters; it's the town blacksmith. "My daughter!" he cries, "They've taken her!" After a few moments of interrogation, it becomes clear that his young daughter was playing behind his forge as he worked. After realizing he hadn't seen her in a while, he went to check on her. Instead of his little girl, happily playing behind the workshop, he found her discarded doll and the muddy footprints of raiders leading off into the forest. The blacksmith beseeches the crowd for help. As a seasoned adventurer, you volunteer and begin to follow the trail into the woods...

How to prepare

Microphones will be required, with cameras preferred. We'll use discord for voice/video, DnD beyond for character creation, and Roll20 as the virtual tabletop.

Gameplay details

We will use XN and O options in Roll20 chat if things in-game start hitting too close to home. Post session we'll talk about our Stars and Wishes as we debrief.

How will character creation work

This is a one-shot, and players should bring a pre-made character of Level 3 in DnD beyond. I will send a campaign link before the session begins, and you will be able to join there, or create it directly in the campaign. Feel free to use any ancestry/class from the game, and use point-buy for your abilities.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
