The Death House

About the adventure

Through the mists into the heart of Barovia, you find yourself standing before a decrepit old home overgrown with vines. You were swept away, stolen from your home, with nothing but the items you had on your person you, and these strange companions, were summoned forward to this new quest. The Death House is crafted as an introductory adventure into the Curse of Strahd, with a handful of my own Homebrew rules and mechanics thrown into the fray and some new NPCs to play around with, it is now a fun haunted house adventure and a fun little murder mystery to explore. Every room offers possible encounters, it will never offer the same route twice. The Death House can be completed in one long session or we can stretch it out into a 3-4 session campaign, and if players wish to continue forward after we can launch into the rest of the Strahd campaign, as well. A few things of note; As written, this campaign and especially this piece of it was essentially designed to kill the Players. I have eased up a bit of it, I have also added a few other elements to increase that sense of danger and foreboding. If Players aren't comfortable with character death, there are mechanics I can put into place to make that death less permanent without breaking the world. Otherwise, should you continue to proceed, have a back up character in the shadows. I DM with a heavy RP focus, and love the Rule of Cool. LGBTQIA+ Friendly - DM is a part of this community, any sense of homophobia or racism will not be tolerated. Beginner Friendly.

How to prepare

Discord Required Mic Required Please reach out to DM on the Discord provided when you register with any questions or fun pieces of a character backstory. We aim to not just run a basic short campaign, but to help write and create a story for each PC that keeps all involved and excited about what happens next.

What I provide

Game will be run on Roll20, dice rolls will be done through DnD Beyond, communication will be handled through a Discord voice chat.

How will character creation work

Characters should start at Level 1, will finish the entire house at Level 3. A DnD Beyond campaign page will be created, this is where all rolls will be completed. DM is willing to meet with players prior to the first session to help in character creation and answer any questions.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
