About the adventure

Within the continent of Amaroese, home to the magically inclined Amari Republic, a thirst for the knowledge of the arcane is cultivated among those with such abilities. Within these storied lands, there are secrets that range from the radiant to the profane and there are some who seek far more with far less concern about who is hurt by their actions. Whenever such individuals prime their ambitions the Hells are there ready to turn a spark into an all-consuming flame. Below the light cities provide, devils and demon writhe from obscured portals in the name of an entity looking to craft the ultimate creation. Constructs of infernal metal and flame join them in plans not yet discovered, their existence on the material will cause nought but suffering, soon someone somewhere will have to see to this approaching threat and decipher the originator of these nightmares. The adventure will start at level 2 and progress to higher level play to level 20.

How to prepare

It is essential that each player has access to, Discord, a Mic and a DnD Beyond account. Other recommended items would be, knowledge of the functions of Discord bot Avrae, their preferred dice whether digital or physical. Within the Discord server there is, World Building/Lore info, specific rule changes, and Maps of the realm the game takes place in. I would recommend you to read about the Class you'll be playing, or think you want to play, in the Player's Handbook or other sourcebooks along with anything in there that seems important to you, such as Spellcasting, Combat, and Personality & Background. Once you join the DnD Beyond Campaign you can access a few core books for character creation.

What I provide

I will provide a homebrew world and cosmos with maps for each of its nations and the lore that comes with it all, which I am excited to see how the players will interact with. I am active to interact and offer assistance, story progression and ensure the fun of the gaming space along with assisting players with character creation and using Avrae. A specific Discord Server for the players to join, DnD Beyond shared content, ambient and combat music to set the scene and character voices.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a mixture of roleplay, combat and exploration informed by player choice, keeping them engaged with a satisfying flow that extends to all facets of the game. In the world of Tira, violent situations will occur. The campaign is mostly R content with an Open Door policy as well as Lines and Veils. During Session 0 we will discuss comfort levels and any additional needs we may have based on all player's concerns and what they would like to see from the game as a whole. Those who join after session 0 will have an opportunity to discuss safety tools and campaign expectations.

How will character creation work

Most of the character creation process will be handled in session zero, though before this the GM communicate with each player to gauge what their initial thoughts and ideas are, as well as handing out some questions for the players to take into session zero to give them some idea of how to progress. Within session zero the players will decide the specifics of their character, race, class, sub-class, background, backstory, motivation etc. Whether this turns into a two-page backstory or a forty-page backstory is up to the players and their own preferences, both are valid within this game and will be woven into the story of the game. Stats will be decided by rolling your d6 dice and removing the lowest dice, you can roll two sets of completed stats and choose between them, if you don't like them then you can roll a third set but must take that third set of rolls. All players will be starting at 2nd level
