About the adventure

"The Curious Tale of Wisteria Vale" is a strange artifact brought back from another world by a Harper agent named Arrant Quill. Unfortunately for Quill, the artifact held a strange sway over him and afflicted him with a curse of obsessive madness. A plot was discovered, in which Quill conspired to kill several Harper leaders, paranoid that they planned to kill him and take his precious artifact he intended to strike first. Unfortunately for Quill a fellow Harper and friend, Ryllia Liadon, learned of his plans and turned him in. As punishment Arrant Quill was sentenced to imprisonment in the very artifact he was obsessed with. A demiplane was created inside the artifact and Quill was imprisoned within. Years passed, and the artifact was hidden away but finally Ryllia has discovered a potential cure for Quill. The Luminary Harp, a legendary artifact capable of lifting any curse so long as the afflicted hears a song played from the harp. You have been tasked with an important mission: to venture into the demiplane, find Quill, and cure him of his madness. Ryllia has hired your party for this very important mission in the hopes of bringing her friend back. Are you ready to select your character and press start to play?

How to prepare

It is required that players arrive into the voice chat 30 minutes before game time to go over Session 0 material and make sure there are no technical issues. Please use a PC or Laptop capable of playing on Roll20 A Discord account A good internet connection Headphones Microphone WebCam (Optional)

What I provide

With a Roll20 pro account I've got maps set up with Dynamic Lighting that are ready to go. Loads of API scripts and macros are utilized to make the game experience smoother. Compendiums containing character options from official WoTC sourcebooks are available. Custom pixelated tokens. Music to get that retro bit style.

Gameplay details

This pixelated one shot will have you exploring the mysterious village known as Wisteria Vale as you search for the curse afflicted bard known as Arrant Quill. This is a lighthearted and fun one shot where the maps, your tokens, and npcs are all pixelated as an homage to the bit style. This is still a DND one shot with a fun little visual twist!

How will character creation work

Character creation will be handled through Roll20's Charactermancer. The rules for character creation are simple: You will create an 11th level character - Races from PHB or Monsters of the Multiverse only - 1 free feat - All published class and subclass options are available - Use point buy for ability score. - Your normal class starting equipment. - 1000 gp to spend on adventuring gear. - 1 rare and 1 uncommon OR 2 uncommon magic items. All players will get a custom pixelated version of their character as their in game token. You will also receive a sprite sheet and file containing your pixel character for you to keep.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
