About the adventure

Every changeling in Arcadia is either currently being held captive by their Keeper, or is making a break for the door . . . except The Creeping Vines. As Changeling thieves-for-hire, The Vines make their living by doing the one thing The Gentry cannot: outright stealing from one another. When choice words and trickery fails to fell the contract holding a Title in place, who you gonna call? Prized tokens, pieces of art, beloved children, food from their mouth, there is nothing The Vines can’t steal. Their value is so acknowledged among the True Fae that the few times they’ve been caught, the only punishment inflicted was a revenge job against whoever sent them there to begin with. Other Changelings might not like what they do, but hey, it’s a living! This next job, however, might be their last. “You’ll never have to work again” is still technically true if you die during the process.

How to prepare

-Familiarize yourself with Changeling 2E mechanics -Create character and send to me ahead of time -We'll be using Roll20 for maps and rolls, make sure you have an account made - We'll be using Discord for video and voice chat, make sure you have an account made - Webcam+mic required

What I provide

Players will receive a custom item upon completion of the game, to be used for their own Changeling games, or if they happen to play with me again. Also, maps!

Gameplay details

Fun, engaging roleplay can only happen in a safe space, so I use the following tools before and during gameplay: The Digital RPG Consent Checklist, Lines & Veils, Open Table, Breaks I'll get everyone's Lines & Veils along with their checklist before, then send out a memo outlining what is encouraged, what isn't appropriate, plus player inclusion guidelines to avoid misgendering and other uncomfortable interactions. The gameplay for this one-shot revolves around pulling off a particularly dangerous True Fae heist, with the following stages: - The Prep - The Heist - The Getaway How creative and successful you are at each step will affect the next-- If you're a meticulous group, you get the satisfaction of disarming traps and sneaking past the dragon. If you prefer to rush in, you'll get a hell of a fight!

How will character creation work

Characters should be created beforehand: Changeling 2e, with 25 bonus starting experience. Think about how specialized you can make your character as a particular role in a group of thieves. Early and in-depth character creation will be rewarded with custom items to use in-game!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
