Dreams of a distant and dark world that echoes this reality, like an itch you can't scratch, lies just beyond your dream's reach. Yet again, you find yourself on the silver path, an unending trail to an unknown destination. Piercing the veil, embracing the dreaming, and entering the world of the Fae is but the first step. Will you guard the honor-bound traditions of the Seelie Court or embrace the Unseelie in favor of passion and impulse? The Seelie ☀️ Death before dishonor. ☀️ Peacekeepers and protectors of the weak. The Unseelie ❄️ Passion is the truest state of the fae spirit. ❄️ Honor is but a fairy tale constructed to avoid emptiness. This is a Play-by-Post campaign hosted over a Discord server with a FREE once-a-month live session. This game can be entirely played on almost any mobile device, tablet, or phone. As Storyteller, I will be available multiple times each weekday, and players are expected to be available at least once per day if they are actively engaged in a scene or have not skipped that day's billing. Play-by-Post games are perfect for those with busy schedules. The entirety of it can be played from a mobile device. You can drop in or out of the game anytime you wish, as your schedule allows. Once a month, on a Wednesday (6 pm - 10 pm CST) we will meet as a group and have a free live session over Discord. The live session is encouraged but not required. Billing for the campaign occurs every weekday, totaling $30 per week for players that participate in all five days. Players can skip days that they plan to be busy. Gameplay will often occur during the weekend, for free, depending on my availability.

How to prepare

Play-by-Post uses Discord. Yep, that's all you need. Install the Discord Application and join us on the server: LINK Once in the server, read the character creation guidelines and familiarize yourself with the system rules. You don't have to read everything, but knowing where and how it's all organized will help.

Gameplay details

This campaign is based on elements presented in The Shining Host, a Changeling game that utilizes in part the Dreaming for Mind's Eye Theatre; a fictional analog to the real world in which human beings unknowingly coexist with legendary monsters and other supernatural phenomena. Changeling characters are unique individuals, each one shaped differently by his or her personal experiences in the world of the Fae. The game is roleplay-heavy with opportunities for extensive individual character development. Player characters are based on The Shining Host Changeling game and experience and interact with content based on folklore, creatures, and storyline adapted from Werewolf the Apocalypse, Vampire the Masquerade, and Hunter the Reckoning. The gameplay is guided by a set of customized rules based on Changeling, Werewolf, and Vampire the Masquerade supplements. The rules have been crafted and somewhat modified over many years of live-action and tabletop storytelling experience with the express purpose of streamlining play, increasing narrative value, and simplifying combat so that the in-character experience can be optimized in a Play-by-Post environment. How will character creation work

Character creation begins with you joining us in Discord and reviewing the character creation guidelines. LINK Next, you schedule a one-on-one session with the Storyteller to fully flesh out the background and story elements necessary to bring your character to life in the game.
