The Calling of Five

About the adventure

You as an adventurer have been summoned to join the ranks of others in a test, many have failed. You have been invited to prove yourself to Lord Sylversteed. A carrier pigeon has delivered the orders to you specifically to come to the town of Tyrin. As you make your journey you find yourself in front of a busy city with a castle in the background. There is a building right at the city entrance with a cloaked man with a hood standing at the door along with two guards protecting the gate entrance. As you approach the guards they stop you, as you explain the document you received they nod over in the direction of the hooded man, "You are to go there, they are awaiting you." You make your way over to the door, the hooded man just stands there, does not say anything, his hood covering his face where nothing can be seen. He does not speak, he does not move. After a moment you decide to push on the door, it does not give. As you take the scroll out to show the hooded man he lifts a hand from his robe and gestures, suddenly the scroll you had disintegrates and the door opens on it's own. As you enter the door closes behind you and as you turn around to the door you see nothing, just a stone wall. There is no entrance or exit in this room, no windows, just solid stone. You find a bare room of stone, with just short wooden stools to sit as if it were a classroom without desks. Your name is on one of the seats. You take a seat and await what is to come next....

How to prepare

Create a character, will need a microphone, installing roll20 and beyond dnd extensions is helpful. Need a character picture for the token.

Gameplay details

*This is my absolute first time DMing and not just that but I am doing my own game that I am building, so far I have only built the first floor and I am looking for people to test it out and test me out and let me know how it goes. Constructive Criticism please. I am doing set initiative, this will help people over talking each other and keep it a little more structured, as structured as it can be. Movement in game will be based on your characters movements i.e. character movement is 30 can move 6 squares then it is next persons turn. How will character creation work

Level 1; DnDBeyond character creation; DnD 5E characters. Can use Roll20 to create character but easier in DnD Beyond

Players can expect
