About the adventure

The town of Magred has become quite prosperous in recent years. Its place along the Hound River makes it a great resting place for traders and sailors alike. Each day more ships pull into port to trade goods from the east like silk, gold and spice. Along with the recent prosperity has come a faction of bandits calling themselves “The Black Hand”. They have been plundering caravans and ships on the route to town. The town’s mayor, Archmond Rascuvius, has put out a call for adventurers who may be able to hunt the bandits down. Your group has answered the call, traveling to Magred just in time to hear Mayor Rascuvius address the public in the town square. The town of Magred is a small Human settlement on the continent of Lumaria. It has a dozen small wooden buildings and one rather large mansion adjoined to the town square. To the west is the Grand Bazaar, known by some as the greatest city in the world. All races and creeds come to trade in the Grand Bazaar and all have their place in society. As such, this area is much more diverse than many other places in Earea.

Additional Details

How to prepare

The game will be run entirely on Roll20 so all dice rolls, character sheets and notes will be provided on that system. Players will need a Roll20 account (free) and a Discord account (free). Each player will also need to have access to a decent internet connection and microphone. Webcams are optional for both players and GM.

What I provide

I will provide character sheets and basic Roll20 compendium. I will also have access to all required rulebooks for quick reference. Maps and character art will be generated and provided on Roll20.

Gameplay details

This game will be tailored for new or experienced players. For newer players, the session will be more forgiving than it will be for players who want a good challenge. There are also options for increased/reduced combat, exploration or roleplaying. Each player will be asked to fill out a quick Google Form before the session to let me know how much of each option you'd like to see in your game.

We can create characters together during the first few minutes of the session (I will walk you through the process) 3. I can generate characters to be used by the players that are provided at the start of the session
