About the adventure
This is a one shot adventure that will serve as an introduction to Cyberpunk Red. A streamlined, laid back approach, with an entertaining vibe, 'The Apartment' is a great way to learn Cyberpunk Red and discover this vibrant and gritty world from Mike Pondsmith and R. Talsorian Games.
Additional Details
How to prepare
Players will need a mic and computer to use Discord (tablet and mobile are acceptable). A set of two to five d6 and at least one d10 (Discord dice bot/app will be the default mechanic). GM recommends watching YouTube videos about the world of Cyberpunk and Night City (where the game takes place); but GM will provide a short overview regardless.
What I provide
GM will provide digital maps and some character art. Players are encouraged to source art for their characters.
Gameplay details
RP elements with a combat core. The game will have a more RP and narrative opening but depending on player choices combat may come sooner rather than later. As for content, I will not have sexually explicit content in the game; any scenes headed that direction will fade to black or be interrupted with a convenient narrative moment. It is my function as a GM to provide a safe and fun experience; and while topics can be "appropriate" in the context of the narrative I encourage players to discuss which topics they are not comfortable with and I will adjust as needed. If a topic comes up and is a triggering experience please use the "Red" "Yellow" and "Green" light system for adjusting the flow the narrative. Saying "Red (light)" or typing it in chat with all capital letters means that the current scene must stop and be significantly altered; two or more Red lights in a scene will stop play and a break will occur to process how and if the game will continue. "Yellow" will prompt the GM and players to avoid, fade to black, or alter the narrative in the moment without an abrupt stop; indicating that the player who used Yellow would like to avoid what they believe is about to be a triggering or very uncomfortable scene. "Green" (some times asked as a question), indicates that a player is comfortable with the scene. A player about to make an action they believe may make other players (including the GM) uncomfortable may ask "Green light?" if no one has said "Red" or "Yellow" as they prepare. Once asked the other players can respond as the need to (with Red, Yellow, or Green. I strive to GM a game that challenges and entertains players with only "Green" lights.
