About the adventure

In 1936, a large, bipedal creature was sighted along Bray Road in Elkhorn, WI. The report stated that it stood 6-7 feet tall and had distinctive canine features much like a wolf walking on its hind legs. Since that initial encounter, numerous other sightings have occured in the surrounding area. Investigations to date have turned up little evidence supporting the existence of this cryptid, but has uncovered a longer history of sightings in local folk lore and Native American tales. It seems "dogmen" have prowled the woods of Wisconsin for centuries. Reports of the creature cluster together both geographically and chronologically. Three days ago, Dr. Aveline Schneider was involved in an accident near her home on Bray Rd. The report states that she collided with a large animal. The creature was not found but blood an hair samples were taken from her vehicle. Lab reports indicate that the samples appear canine but of no known species. Your team is being sent to investigate this case. Your orders are to gather all available evidence, track and capture the beast if possible, and kill it if necessary. About The W.A.T.C.H. RPG The W.A.T.C.H. is a tabletop role-playing game in which the players become paranormal investigators and cryptid hunters seeking evidence to prove or debunk sightings and encounters that have been reported to the agency. The easy-to-learn mechanics and character creation allow new players to quickly get into the game while still providing the flexibility to adjust to different styles of play. As a story- and character-focused system, each investigation can quickly take on its own flavor based on the desires of the players. The game master, called The Controller, serves as the narrator and mediator for sessions by establishing the location, setting the parameters of the investigation, and taking on the roles of the non-player characters. The players then take on the roles of an investigative team, which is where things get really interesting since they also decide on the type of team they will be playing. Are you government agents assigned to debunk reports of the supernatural, a reality TV crew looking for some new footage, or something else entirely?

How to prepare

To prepare for the game, players should confirm they can access the virtual tabletop, the Discord server, and that their equipment is operating correctly prior to game time. Gameplay details

As part of the Session 0, we will discuss the kinds of scenarios that may occur and the preferred method of approaching these topics. I will make adjustments to the adventure accordingly. During play, if anyone becomes uncomfortable with the content or behavior of other players, I encourage contacting me immediately so it can be addressed.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be completed as part of Session 0 as a group. While every player is encouraged to make the unique character for themselves, it is important for the group to agree on the type of team they will be playing and to make sure their character concepts fit that team.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
