The Bayou Murders [a Chill one-shot]

About the adventure

Your handler, Isaac, taps the headline of the newspaper laid out on the diner booth table: another murder victim has been found on the bayou nature trail. The media calls it the work of a serial killer, but Isaac suspects it may be a vampire's handiwork. You and your team must investigate and identify the killer, and if it is one of the Unseen, you must prepare yourselves for the dangerous task of killing it. You know the dark truth of this world, that there are evil things prowling the shadows hunting us for reasons as unknown as the creatures themselves. They are the Unseen, and you are one of the few that have encountered them and lived to carry that burden of knowledge. You work with other survivors to search out and beat back these evil threats as they creep out from the darkness for the sake of humanity. The Unseen are ancient, mysterious, and powerful. Death is always waiting for you, and victory never leaves you unscathed. Chill 3rd Edition is a game of investigative horror. Something evil is afoot, and your characters must look for clues to find out what it is and how you could defeat it. Facing creatures of the Unseen without inadequate preparation is a recipe for disaster.

How to prepare

You will need a decent microphone for Discord, and a free Roll20 account for dice rolls.

What I provide

I'll have the rulebook and character sheets, and there will be occasional art drops on Roll20.

Gameplay details

I use the X card safety deck on Roll20, and you can also send me a private message at any time if something is making you uncomfortable. This game includes elements of body-horror, violence, and gore. My games never venture into areas of sexual assault. Violence against children could happen "off-camera" (alluded to, but never described in-progress).
