About the adventure
Welcome to the world of Mahara, a world where mortal kind has triumphed over their Gods. You are a member of an organization called "The Many Eyes", the secret police to crumbling Empire. Will you restore order to the Empire, or take power for yourself? The world itself takes place in an Asian inspired setting, drawing influence from three kingdoms china, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the works of Brandon Sanderson. In the campaign, players will have the opportunity to build strongholds, attract followers, and raise armies to eventually become big players on the world stage. This campaign features an emphasis on roleplay, intrigue, and combat.
Additional Details
How to prepare
Players should have their mic ready, and a decent knowledge of their character and how it works. A headset is appreciated so other don't hear echo from you, but if you do not have one on hand I would suggest using push-to-talk.
What I provide
I will be hosting the game on either Roll20 or fantasy grounds. I provide maps for players to explore, and visual references for NPCs and foes they will meet. Furthermore, I will be utilizing the discord bot "Groovy" to provide music and ambience during the session (if you would prefer to listen to your own music, feel free to mute the bot. I won't be offended).
Gameplay details
This game will depict a war-torn setting alongside themes of oppression, slavery, and loss. This will not be a grimdark campaign however, so there will of course be lighthearted moments alongside more serious scenes. A typical session is roleplay intensive, where players commonly talk with and form bonds with NPCs and factions, or make plans while in-character. However, I do try to prep at least one combat per session (though this can depend on what players are doing at the time). Sessions can vary between mostly roleplay, to mostly combat, to somewhere in-between

How will character creation work
Players should create their characters sometime before their first session. If needed, I can workshop with you over discord messaging and voice. Details will be discussed after you sign up, but as a summary we start at level 3, and use point buy for stats.
