About the adventure

Become a Mammoth Lord, brave the wilderness, and help restore your fallen tribe to glory in this lvl 1-10 hexcrawl adventure set in prehistoric lands! ---------------- It's never been easy to survive in the wilderness. But it shouldn't be this hard. Perhaps back when the Broken Tusk Tribe was part of the Burning Mammoths and they ruled the land it was less difficult. These days it's hard - and it only gets harder every time a rival tribe fights the Broken Tusk for territory or resources, starting with the very Burning Mammoths, whose encroaching war party is decided to destroy the clan once and for all. Yet there's a tale, an ancient one, speaking of an artifact β€” The Primordial Flame β€” that might help. An artifact so strong it is believed to have helped your tribe attain glory and that might certainly help you regain it. With nature against you and your enemies on your toes, may this be the moment to believe the stories and chase the promise of glory once again? πŸ—ΊοΈ Explore prehistoric lands, leading your tribe through the wilderness βš”οΈ Fight enemy tribes, prehistoric beasts, dinosaurs, and more πŸ”₯ Help an ancient tribe regain its glory πŸ¦– Leave your mark and make history as a hero Quest for the Frozen Flame is a unique, nordic and paleolithic-themed Adventure Path for Pathfinder 2. In it, you take the place of a member of the Broken Tusk Tribe and help lead your tribe through dangerous, partly unexplored lands and towards the location of an ancient artifact that might be your tribe's last chance at greatness. Along the way, you get to experience the harshness of survival in an untamed land, the politics and reasonings behind different tribes' actions, and with some luck, restore your tribe to the glory it once had. Will you help us find the Primordial Flame?

How to prepare

Access to Discord and a working microphone is a must. Please make sure your microphone indeed works as needed, since troubleshooting your setup during a session robs the other players from their playtime. You can download discord from https://discord.com/ The campaign will be ran through Fantasy Grounds, and we'll be using that software to create and keep track of your characters and their abilities. You can download the demo version of Fantasy Grounds from http://www.fantasygrounds.com/, which will be enough for the campaign - no purchase is necessary.

What I provide

I'll be bringing my own Discord server with a bot set up for dice rolls. I also own the sourcebooks on Fantasy Grounds, and have the DM and player's guide at hand to help answer any doubts and with character creation.

Gameplay details

I focus on the experience rather than number-crunching and favor creativity over rules. You can expect a fast-paced, relatively rules light but RPG heavy experience from me. I'm high on comedy and funny situations while doing my best to adapt the story so each character gets some level of development and advancement of their backstory and personal goals. All of my campaigns are illustrated - besides having maps when necessary, players are shown reference images of the places they're visiting and people they're meeting as a means to help them get into their characters and the worlds they inhabit. ------------------------- Safety Information ------------------------- I try to build tables where safety is paramount. No matter the environment or story being told, it is my duty to minimize the chance that players will be affected by in-game situations, and I have an array of safety methods at my disposal that I use to attain this. However, all players come from different backgrounds, and what might be easy to deal with for some might be difficult for other, particularly considering the wide array of possible situations, both scripted and not, that can arise during a roleplaying session - and how sometimes these situations can affect us in ways we ourselves might not expect. To handle this, we will host a discussion about lines, veils, and potential triggers during session zero. Just as well, we'll repeat said discussions several times during sessions to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone in the group. To help players deal with potential stress resulting from in-game situations, sessions can be stopped at any moment if a player feels triggered, even if the situation creating it wasn't one discussed before and thus not one of the previously agreed-on lines or veils. It is my duty to offer you the safest experience I can, and I'll hold myself to it.

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place using Fantasy Grounds, since the software is quite good at guiding players through it. Ancestries and classes available are those from the core rulebook. Races from the advanced player's handbook are also allowed. Premade characters are available on request.
