Testers of my new Hero Game

About the adventure

Most super hero rpgs play it close to the comics or other rpgs for that matter so over 7 years ago with the help of my group being my playtesters I sought our to make a superhero rpg that plays more like the MCU, other superhero media, anime, or the comics if preferred. After a long time of work with some highs and lows I am ready to test this game with people who are not my close friends and accept some honest feedback. There are things that take time to understand with the game so not everything you say will be changed but regardless I'd like to hear it and you get to have a fun evening of superheroes as a reward!

How to prepare

Id like you to go watch a Marvel/DC movie or 2, read an old comic book you like, watch one of the many superhero movies or shows and show up inspired to create an epic superhero. The rules will be given out in session 0 where there may or may not be actual play unless of course we set up a way to make characters before the game even happens. I'd really prefer it if you had discord as I am very rusty at Roll20 and there is a severe lack of assets for superhero on either Roll20 or Tabletop Sim. On my discord server I have a dice bot ready for you to use but if you don't lie to me you can roll your own and the character sheet is going to be figured out along the way.

What I provide

I will provide a server with dice, music, memes, and all sorts of other miscellany perhaps even going so far as to take time to make a very well drawn map digitally of our world and tons of lore information. I will provide everything players need to know about my rules and the game itself. People who have never played an rpg before are VERY welcome.

Gameplay details

So depending on the players I get you will spend a majority of session 0 being walked through character sheets with me and during this I will ask you what the preferred platform of play is or perhaps the desired theme could be. Superhero fantasy in 'Leagues and Tights' can take place over hundreds of themes and tech levels so we can get crazy or specific if you want. I design my games across an intricately crafted map that is either well drawn or horribly drawn and ideally we will solve issues in the city chosen for our game. As the game heats up and it gets interesting I may eventually switch this to a paid setup but for now there is n payment worried about from session 0 onward.

How will character creation work

We will start out level 0 or 1 depending on player preference and create them in session 0 alongside me as noone but me and my friends know this system. The character creation used to be difficult for some and easy for others but after recent changes it has tested easy on difficulty level.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
