About the adventure

These classic, early D&D adventures helped first popularize the World of Greyhawk campaign setting. In the module T1 - The Village of Hommlet, the player characters must defeat the raiders in a nearby fort, and thereafter Hommlet can be used as a base for the party’s subsequent adventures. The adventure begins in the eponymous village of Hommlet, situated near the site of a past battle against evil forces operating from the Temple. The adventurers travel through Hommlet and are drawn into a web of conspiracy and deception. The module is recommended for first-level characters, who begin the adventure “weary, weak, and practically void of money”. They travel to a town that is supposed to be a great place to earn fortunes, defeat enemy creatures, and even lose one’s life. While the town initially appears warm and hospitable, the characters soon learn that many of its inhabitants are powerful spies for minions of evil. My plan is to Temple of Elemental Evil, then move on to **Scourge of the Slave Lords, and finish with Queen of Spiders. I have not converted Scourge of the Slave Lords or Queen of Spiders yet.

How to prepare

At this time, I do not have a webcam. I do no expect you to either. I will see how this goes and maybe I'll purchase one in the futurre. Everyone needs to be able to hear and speak (speakers and mic).

What I provide

This will all be online. The dice are part of the game as are the maps. You can access the game for a specific time afterwards.

Gameplay details

I am not a voice actor and do not plan to change my voice for NPC's. - I do not expect you to either. I would like the characters to make suboptimal decisions for the sake of staying in character, but it is not a necessity. There is not much puzzling in ToEER. I will try to have a free Session 0 with each player (or group of players if you are friends). I have the following books that are available to you in Foundry VTT: Player's Handbook Tasha's Guide to Everything * Xanathar's Guide to Everything * * if you want to use these two, please consult with me first. 1) Players can expect an old-school D&D adventure. 2) There may be character death. I would suggest you create two characters in Session 0 so if your character dies, you can start with the new character immediately. 3) These are my house rules: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eRAVjgOqRCy64LgvdeIsoJPWzy6Khpph/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=103905849646312996964&rtpof=true&sd=true These may be changeable, but you will need to make a good case to me before we change them. Also, whatever I allow you to do, I need to allow the other players to do as well.
