About the adventure

Welcome mage, come join this journey to Celestial Plain, the land of stars, as you take place in their Starfall Festival. Your party has been hired by Dill Tallgrass, leader of the Tallgrass Pride, to escort his convoy of 6 to the festival as they transport a mystic instrument needed in the festivities. Tallgrass has seen an uptick in bandit activity in the area, so he has hired mages to assist. Will you get the instrument to the festival in-time to enjoy the festivities, or will the unexpected occur? --- Fablecraft is a game of mages and magic, with magic being prominent in the world. This is an entry level adventure to introduce the system with a fun story, allowing players to make their mark in this world. The system is very easy to learn and the Virtual Tabletop that accompanies it is very intuitive.

How to prepare

Be sure to have a mic, Discord, and working internet access. Steam will also be needed to download the Tales of Fablecraft VTT, a free program that is needed to run the system. Once you have Tales of Fablecraft, you can make an account or sign in through your google/steam account. Once you have signed in to the system, I will share my friend code through the Discord server. This is necessary to join the game. If there is any confusion on how to do any of this, I am more than happy to help!

What I provide

I bring my experience as a professional GM to bring this world to live. I do this by ensuring that immersive music and sounds are used, along with voice acting characters. I ensure that NPCs feel memorable and are not just blank slates. I primarily use the rules as written, however, I do like using Rule of Cool when it would fit the scenario. I try not to be restrictive on what a player can do and ensure that it can fit within the rules by making adjustments as needed, if necessary. A very important aspect to my GMing style is player safety and communication. If a player is not feeling safe or having fun, I want to know so I can help create a solution. I also embrace constructive criticism, so if there is something a player would want to see in a session, they just need to communicate it and I can do my best to make it work. Some things may not be doable, but I try to make most requests work!

Gameplay details

Safety Tools: - Session 0: This will serve as a point for character creation, discussion for any boundaries, and to introduce everyone to each other. If everything goes well, there will also be a small intro session to help introduce the system. - Lines and Veils: This will be provided as a google doc you will be able to fill out before the sessions. It will be shared with the other players, that way everyone knows what boundaries to respect. - X, N, & O's: These will be digital through the VTT's game log. --- Gameplay Details: The game will feature a very easy and intuitive ability and level-up system, making combat simple yet enjoyable. There will be specific abilities you can gain that can also assist in roleplay, giving advantages to playing each class, both in combat and roleplay.
