About the adventure

Astralas is a Dungeons and Dragons fantasy world, homebrewed by myself and worked on through many campaigns. A mid-magic gritty campaign setting with a set of dynamic homebrew rules to make characters feel more powerful, while retaining the monsters (normally) clever tactics and combat capabilities. Set across 3 different continents with a plethora of different cultures and factions scattered across the world! Heavily inspired by lore from the forgotten realms as well as other official content, with a smattering of my own inspiration thrown in to spice things up. I like to play long, collaborative and narratively driven campaigns, incorporating the players and watching as interpersonal dynamics and relationships blossom between a group of strangers! I encourage rule of cool and diverse thinking in my game, always playing in favor of the players so we can all enjoy a long campaign that comes to a satisfying conclusion, and then hopefully do it again.

How to prepare

Good quality microphone, webcam is optional. Rules are to be discussed in session 0 and character creation will also be done during that time. Roll 20 will be used for everything for this game.

What I provide

I will be preparing maps and adventures for the players to play in on roll 20 as well as any illustrations, handouts or magical items they need will be provided.

Gameplay details

All players can expect a session 0 before campaign starts, one that is done individually to create a character and implement narrative story arcs that they want to see as well as creating relevant npcs. Break will be every 2 hours roughly, where players have a chance to relax, discuss, and do whatever they need to do for jumping back into the fun! All players will be invited either individually or as a group after most sessions to discuss the game, anything criticism they may have, or anything that made them uncomfortable so it can be rectified asap.
