About the adventure

A strange book has arrived at the Candlekeep Library, a play spelling out the story of a heroic bard before he becomes corrupted by evil. Little did they know that this story actually rang true, and the Harpers wish to free this corrupted bard from the constructed plane of Wisteria Vale. That's where you come in. The Archmage Ryllia has hired you to enter into this demiplane and stab an enchanted dagger into the body of Arrant Quill, to free him from the control of an ancient artifact. Entering in, Wisteria Vale is a simple forest town with seemingly normal inhabitants. Too normal. And it seems like Arrant Quill currently already has an honored guest visiting, a terrifying creature with a large central eye and razor-sharp teeth! This might be more trouble than you bargained for 👁️ Jump in at Level 10 and see if you can survive The Curious Tale of Wisteria Vale!

How to prepare

⦾ All players require a microphone to participate in sessions, along with a Discord account. My games typically don't use cameras :) ⦾ Rules research is not required but encouraged. ⦾ A free D&D Beyond account

What I provide

⦾ Discord server set up for this campaign. We will be using it to communicate during the game along with sharing world details, lore, or other campaign info throughout the week. ⦾ I will be providing music and ambiance through a discord bot while running each session. ⦾ I will have certain necessary maps made, but we might resort to theatre of the mind if necessary. ⦾ And finally, my passion for creating an immersive world for everyone and working together to make this an epic adventure.

How will character creation work

Usually, I run a session zero, but as this is a one-shot, I trust my players to build their own Level 10 characters. But I will be available to help build a character with you if necessary. I want to party to feel free to choose whatever class and not feel too restricted by any sort of "filling a missing role". ⦾ I allow any race from the https://www.dndbeyond.com/races ⦾ All races will be allowed to switch their normal Ability Score Increase to instead increase one ability score by 2 and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. ⦾ Any class from the Player's Handbook (subclasses from the other books are accepted as well.) Artificers are allowed with slight modifiers, for balancing, which will be discussed beforehand. ⦾ All basic weapons and items will come from your background. Additional items will be given at my discretion, but feel free to let me know any you are interested in. ⦾ Ability Score Generation: I allow Standard Array, Point-Buy or Rolling for stats (but please roll on the character creation tab on D&D Beyond just so I can see your results!)

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
