About the adventure

Tales from the loop is a collaborative storytelling game were players are kids in the 1980s, but the loop exists. The loop is a large secret base build in the 1960s that has created many scientific advancements that lay in stark contrast to what we expect in the 1980s. But in this world this things are mundane, but also problematic and dangerous in the wrong hands or used incorrectly. Things around the Loop are rarely normal, as many people work at or around the Loop and there work is clandestine in nature. While all this exist, the problems of everyday life get in the way as well; School, family, friends, and all the issues that go along with it. Tales from the Loop is about telling a story together, the problems of being a kid as well as the mysteries surrounding the loop. This game is RP based and deals will problems that kids run into, so drama and childhood issues are part of this game. I prefer to use video and audio for sessions as it helps with role play and interactions.

Gameplay details

This game is sole based on role play and deals with problems that kids can face such as bullying, divorce, injury, trauma, and loss. This can be triggering or problematic for some. That being said this is not the place for impromptu therapy, so if you thing that you will have difficulties with any of these topics this may not be the game for you. The point is to tell a story together and have fun. There will be a session 0 where we can cover this in greater detail and we can evaluate possible issues and build characters. At any point you feel uncomfortable or have a problem please let me know in game or privately. I expect everyone to be kind and accepting of one another and I reserve the right to remove anyone from the game if you are unkind to me or any of the players.

How will character creation work

Characters will be made during session 0 as a collaborative effort. You will need a character sheet, pencil, and a book (I have a PDF version that I can share over google drive).

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
