About the adventure

It is King's Day, the celebration of the anniversary of Cammersia's liberation from evil forces over 300 years ago. Times are peaceful, and the kingdom and its surrounding territories are in good prosperity. Mostly, anyway. Some recent attacks from marauding clans outside of the city limits have caused some to be wary of the longevity of the peace. However, the kingdom remains confident that these 'pests' are nothing more than that, and are encouraging those in the city not to worry themselves with petty trifles, for today is a day of excitement, entertainment, and celebration. This adventure takes place in the homebrew realm of Taenfaldin, and starts in Cammersia, the largest city in the realm. The celebration of King's Day is a joyous occasion, and as such, your characters have been drawn from all over to partake in the festivities. Are you here to best your opponents in the dueling tournament? Are you here to sample the fine food and drink for which Cammersia is well known? Are you here to entertain the people of Cammersia with song, dance, or story? Are you here to sell your own goods and/or services? Are you here on the clock, working at one of the various events or booths, or even working as a local guard to maintain security? Whatever the case may be, this starts as a 1st-level adventure, and potentially ends with 14th-level or higher characters taking on the final encounter.

How to prepare

Players will need at least a mic, although a webcam is definitely a plus as well. Players do not need to know the rules ahead of time. Characters can be created during the session 0, or ahead of time. Players should have a Roll20 account and Discord account made before the start of the campaign, however this can also be created during the session 0. Players can use whatever dice rolling method they prefer, as well as whichever character sheet generation method they prefer.

Gameplay details

Each session will be different according to the choices of the characters, but players can expect a nice mix of combat, exploration, roleplay, puzzles, and mysteries. There are several ways for character backstories to be included into the world, and for that backstory to have direct impact on the campaign.

Any published source material from Wizards of the Coast is acceptable for use in character creation.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
