SWAMPED! ~ A Level 5 One-Shot in a Haunted Swamp

About the adventure

Outside Briar Glen lies a dangerous swamp, and deep within it runs the Weeping River. Those who venture too far into the swampland near the river are overcome with grief and cry until their tears turn to blood. And if they're lucky, they die. Lately, however, women in town disappear into the swamp near the Weeping River at night... and return in the morning, entranced but unscathed. Their families want to know why they return at sunrise with no memories of the previous night. Not all is as it seems in the swamp beyond Briar Glen. Go there, and find the truth. And remember: Don't Let The Boo-Hag Ride You! ~~~ We will use Roll20, (for its VTT) D&DBeyond (for its character sheets/content sharing) and Discord (for voice chatting.) How to prepare

Players will need to create characters ahead of time. Players will need Roll20, D&DBeyond and Discord accounts. A microphone is needed for Discord chat. Webcam preferred but not needed.

What I provide

I will bring the weight of my D&DBeyond and Roll20 accounts. You will have access to expanded character creation options. The game will include battlemaps, ambient music and dynamic lighting for an immersive, tactical experience.

How will character creation work

Characters will be level 5. Characters are to be created before the session. We will be using Point Buy or Standard Array for ability scores. All race/background options in the Player's Handbook, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, Volo's Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen's Monsters of the Multiverse are allowed. All OFFICIAL classes and subclasses are allowed (including artificer.) Use starting equipment plus 100gp and one uncommon magic item. Multiclassing/Feats are allowed.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
