About the adventure

Long ago, a magical plague known as the Strife had turned the world uninhabitable. Only one city was able to survive its apocalyptic grasp, the city of Haven. It holds the last bastion of mortality against the darkness outside. Recently, the factions of Haven have agreed to allow people outside the barrier. They are recruiting brave souls to explore the Strife, and all the secrets that lay within its wastes. Strifehaven is an open table game, meaning players may varry from session to session, but the story is one continuous one, growing and evolving as players form alliances, recover resources, and work together in and out of session in order to solve the problems of Haven.

How to prepare

We will be playing through Discord, as such have a microphone ready to go. Webcams are encouraged but by no means required. Have a GM approved character sheet. Be able to pull up Fari.app, a VTT that allows for rolling of Fate dice and to see the Aspects in play.

What I provide

I will bring the expected enthusiasm you desire in a GM, improvisational skills, collaborative mindset, as well as set up the Discord and Fari.app for everyone to participate in.

Gameplay details

Within the resulting Discord for this game, I will put a list of the Lines and Veils anonomously in a chat, easilly accesible to all. X, N, and O can be notated in the chat we are currently playing in. This is an open table game. This means it won't be the same three to five players every week, but allows for a variety of players to drop in and out as they wish to go on an adventure from week to week. Though the characters and players will not be the same, the world and choices each player makes will be, shaping technology, exploration, and the influence of the factions within Haven. We are playing in a system known as FATE. FATE is a system designed to bring narrative and character to the forefront of gameplay, letting the attributes of who they are become their mechanical boons. FATE is a highly customizable system, and as such I will be specifying finer details in a different channel, but if you'd like a run down on the general gist of the system, you can find one version (Fate Accelerated) right here (https://fate-srd.com/fate-accelerated/get-started). Otherwise, do not be afraid to message me, I always love teaching and introducing people to new things.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done in Fari.app before your session and the finished sheet must be approved by the GM. You will work with the GM to establish your character, your abilities, and your connections to the world.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
