About the adventure

Have you wanted to explore the DnD world of Faerun in the Forgotten Realms? This is your chance to experience famous locales like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter. "Storm King's Thunder" will be an expansive, globe-trotting adventure, built for levels 1-11 (and possibly beyond)! The giants have returned, and evil giant lords are destroying towns and settlements all across the world. You and a small group of adventurers will be tasked with searching the wide world for clues as to why this is happening, and eventually put a stop to the evil giant lords. This is an official module, and it will be run according to the book! However, I love to make players feel like their character belong in the world. so your personal character goals and backstory will be written into the adventure. This game will be all about freedom, so your party will be able to decide to visit any location on the world map--each location concealing its own secrets, fascinating characters, and unique quests. Once you apply for this session, I will be reaching out to discuss what kind of character you would like to play. Then, we will have a free session zero in order to get a taste for my style as a DM, and the other players. The first session/consultation is Free. Future sessions will be $10 per session.

Additional Details

How to prepare

All you will need to do ahead of time is create a level 1 DnD character, and familiarize yourself with the general rules of play in DnD. You will be responsible for understanding how your own character operates and plays, although I will be glad to help if there is any confusion or if you have any questions.

I will be providing online battle maps, as I have access to the digital supplemental materials for 'Storm King's Thunder.'

Gameplay details

This game is an open world adventure, so it has a heavy focus on exploration. Players will chart their own course across the untamed lands of the Forgotten Realms, discovering settlements, mysterious burial grounds, and giant lairs along the way. Major quests will culminate in assaults on Giant Lairs, which will require careful planning and strategy to pull off successfully. Along the way, your characters will meet hosts of colorful and memorable characters. This game is welcome to new players, or anyone wanting to experience DnD for the first time. I will be glad to help you build your character, and all players will be starting at level 1.

How will character creation work

Characters will begin at level 1. Roll20 features a character creator, so you will be able to create your character sheet in the Roll20 program. I will be glad to assist, but players are free to create their own level 1 character. We will be using officially published material to build characters.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
