About the adventure

A vision of a strange shop in the Grand Bazaar of Absalom accompanies the unexpected arrival of powerful magic cards that mysteriously manifest in the possession of a band of adventurers. But when an investigation of this vision reveals murder, treachery, and fiendish machinations, the adventurers are thrown into a race to control the very future of all things to come, tied to the ubiquitous fortune-telling cards known as the Harrow! Who has chosen your characters for this deadly quest, and what might become of your destinies should you fail? The Choosing is a Pathfinder adventure for four 11th-level characters. This adventure begins the Stolen Fate Adventure Path, a campaign in which a group of adventurers race against time to gather the scattered parts of a powerful deck of magical fortune-telling cards.

How to prepare

A basic knowledge of Pathfinder is needed. I will have blank sheets on Foundry VTT ...although if you want to create and import characters you can do that also. Reading the Players Guide will be needed: https://downloads.paizo.com/StolenFatePlayersGuide.pdf as you will choose Backgrounds from this.

What I provide

I have Foundry set up with all the maps and sheets and Dice. The Compendium will be open (so drag and drop will be available!)

Gameplay details

This Adventure Path is meant to be a high magic exciting adventure, full of danger and growth, not an analysis of, or mirror for real-world matters of social issues. Nonetheless, you and your friends might not enjoy the situations or conversations that arise as a result of your unusual roles in this campaign. Remember that a fun game involves enthusiastic consent from everyone at the table, especially when discussing or roleplaying themes that might closely resemble sensitive issues from the not-so-simple real world. What one person might consider an opportunity to discuss real-life ethical dilemmas might be an upsetting or traumatic situation for another. Feel free to voice your concerns as needed (and private avenues are available too). XCards and Lines and Veils will be used and set up in the game.

How will character creation work

We will have a Discord Channel to discus player creation as players sign up. We will use all Common Options from all currently available books and if you wish to discuss Uncommon and Rare Options they will probably be approved (Any Uncommon and Rare Options available through ACP at character creation will be Approved and the good news is it will not cost ACP)

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
