About the adventure

With plenty of opportunities for combat, social encounters, and more, the campaign module, Onslaught at Arda I, puts you directly in the middle of the struggle between the Alliance and the Galactic Empire! Following its defeat at the Battle of Yavin, the Empire has tightened its grip on the surrounding systems. Nearby, a secret Rebel base on Arda I hides in the shadows of a twisting canyon known as the Gauntlet, seemingly safe from planetary sensor scans... This Star Wars RPG by FFG campaign is exciting and gritty. While it correlates most with the Age of Rebellion core rulebook, any Star Wars adventurer is welcome to join the Alliance. From smuggler scoundrels to career soldiers to force sensitives in hiding, any core rulebook and career book are welcome for character inspiration and creation. All experiences are welcome! With the easy-to-learn system and an integrated character sheet in Roll20, becoming a master of the game is only a few clicks away. I am dedicated to running quality campaigns and will provide you with the complete experience, including maps, game resources, and music on Roll20 as well as a dedicated Discord server where you can plan your next move as you plan to defeat the Empire.

Gameplay details

Gameplay will focus on a good mix of roleplaying and combat, which will vary by session depending on story circumstances and character choices. The FFG Star Wars RPG game uses a narrative dice system to resolve checks. The dice pool will consist of positive dice and negative dice, the positive dice determined by your characteristics, skills, and other boosts, while the negative dice are determined by difficulty, challenge level, and other setbacks. All of these are determined by your (or the NPC's) character sheets and the GM. Additionally, the game uses an API to make rolling and gameplay effortless! As a player, you don't need to know anything before joining. Just come with an open mind and be ready for a great Star Wars adventure!

How will character creation work

Characters may be created from any of the published FFG Core Rulebooks (EotE, AoR, or F&D) or other era or career sourcebooks. They can be created in any form you like (RPG Sessions, SWSheets, paper, etc.). However, I will import them into the Roll20 game manually and they will be tracked there for the remainder of the game. You will start with a Duty/Obligation value of 15 (or use any morality option from F&D) and can spend that as you'd like. Credits begin at 500 and XP is determined by species/race (both of which may fluctuate if you spend any Duty/Obligation or choose to receive extra credits from a F&D option). NO restricted items at character creation. All other normal restrictions on spending XP apply. We can also set up a character creation session before your first game to walk through the process! Character creation is one of my favorite aspects of the game! Alternatively, there are 16 pregenerated character sheets that can be chosen from ranging from bounty hunter to force mystic. It's as easy as pick and play!
